aren't they both great?
Un Lugar soleado Para Gente Sombría
by Mariana Enriquez
This book is a compilation of short stories written by the author. Because of this, I didn't have any issues with reading it quickly and processing the stories themselves, plus, as an Argentinian writter (and journalist) her vocabulary wasn't as foreign to me as it could be were she Colombian or Chilean (like other authors I've read before). What's more, the book was released not so long ago and has a pretty modern or "contemporary" style, not flowery at all. My favourite short story would be the very last one: in which a volunteer for the homeless encounters a pair of stange and teryfying young children. Read it to figure out more ;b.
Sometimes repetitive, I wouldn't say it's the greatest thing I've ever read, but I'd still recommend it to most people!
